As you may have seen some developers have made their apps iOS 4.0.1 or 4.0 compatible and also require 4.0 or greater to run. Now this makes a huge problem for users of the 2g iPhone, 1g iPod, and iPad.

I have personally tried to install about five apps on my iPad that used to be 3.0 minimum version and now these “dumb developers” are making their apps 4.0 minimum. I am using an iPad, and there is no 4.0. I want the latest version of the app and I don’t want to have to manually edit every single ipa file to change the minimum version. If you didn’t even have the app before the upgrade, it is now unavailable for your device in the App Store.

If you have an iPhone 4, you are equipped with a gyroscope, which will allow your device to calculate and register more maneuvers than previous iPhones. In fact the iPhone 4 is capable of measuring movement on all axises.
So far, there are only a few apps that take advantage of this new capability, unlike all the new “Flashlight” apps taking advantage of the LED. Gyroscope Toolkit by “iStuff” is not a game, and does not immediately change your everyday life, like having a flashlight in your pocket at all times, but it sure is cool. The app actually gives you the Gyro’s raw data, measuring Yaw, Pitch and Roll, and a neat visualization pyramid that lets you visualize the data that is being collected.
