We just discovered evidence of the next iPod nano “touch” and or iPod touch 4g. The evidence comes in the form of products that are available for a yet to be disclosed line of devices. The new smaller size of the iPod touch is interesting, what sex do you think this device targets? Which one has generally smaller pockets? This new case is definitely targeted in the direction of bearers of two X chromosomes.

Many will coin terms for this new iDevice; iPod touch nano, or NanoTouch, or just iPT4gn. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow and what the future will hold or this new form of iDevice.
For those of you not interested in losing your screen size for extra pocket space, luckily it looks like a standard size fourth-generation device is also on its way! Both of these new cases seem to confirm the presence of a camera, if not FaceTime ready, forward-facing cameras as well.
These cases are on sale now, in the anticipation of what may be released tomorrow.
Heres the links to these cases for sale: Hard Candy and Amazon.com.

Earlier Today Apple released iPhone Os 4.0.2 and iPad 3.2.2. Sadly this means apple blocked the PDF Exploit that Jailbreak Me used. Luckily though someone has already been working on a exploit that exists in 4.1 Beta 2, This means hopefully this firmware or the firmware after it will be patched.
I will be guessing that the next jailbroken firmware will be when 4.0 is released for the iPad. If it ever comes out this fall. So I wouldn’t even dare update since there was already a Patch that you could install once jailbroken. With the patch installed you have 4.0.2 patched voila.

Apple warned today that it may deny service to Jailbroken devices, because it is a violation of the end user license agreement.

Razorianfly.com jokingly reported today that Apple may “brick” user devices. This is simply not the case. Apple is asking for a battle and a huge backlash from the growing (exponentially) jailbreak community. It also cannot shut the phone part of the device down because ATT would be forced to get involved and it would damage the customer relationship. Does this statement even say that the Apple specific iPhone services such as FaceTime and MobileMe may be shut down?
It is also important to note that unauthorized modification of the iOS is a violation of the Phone end-user license agreement and because of this, Apple may deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software.

As you guys know, September is usually the month when they release a new iPod Touch model. There are pictures on the web that show a “Prototype” with a camera on the the back next to the antenna. I Photoshopped my idea of the next iPod Touch. This is the original press photo of the iPhone 4, modified to look like an iPod touch

iPod touch 4g?
I personally think that Apple would sell more next generation iPods if it includes a forward facing camera just like the iPhone 4 and makes use of the FaceTime feature for video calls with other iPhones and iPods. Right now, the iPhone 4 can only use FaceTime through wifi and the iPod only has wifi. This seems like a logical addition to the product and a great way to increase sales through promoting free communication between iDevice users.
