Last night I was using the Palringo (free) app on my iPod and was chatting on Facebook. When I logged onto Facebook from my MacBook Pro today, I got a message saying “Login attempt to Facebook from a computer ” and it gave me the IP address the attempt came from. I did a little research, and followed a tip from @xsn0w and found that the IP address was actually from the Palringo network, there’s a picture of the IP Whois after the break.

Beejive is a full featured messaging client that is designed to manage all your social networking messaging in one app. Cracked versions of this app will not work. This will show you how to get your cracked version of Beejive working. You will need the Facebook application, iFile, and a cracked version of Beejive app.
First you will go open iFile and navigate to “/var/mobile/Applications” and look for the Facebook application.

Open this folder and click “Edit” in the top right corner, and then Copy/Link “iTunesArtwork” and” iTunesMetadata.plist”.

Next, navigate to /var/mobile/Applications and look for BeejiveIM and open this folder.

Click “Edit” on the top right corner and then “Paste”. It will ask you for permission to overwrite. Press O.K., and you are done.

This is all you have to do and Beejive should work. That is all, guys, I hope you like this patch and enjoy using BeeJive IM.

I’m sure by now most of you have this app or have heard about it but I’m going to try to show you some tricks I’ve noticed and would love to share:
- In the search tab where you can search people or #hashtags ,trending topics and suggested users (where it suggests users based on topic) if you search a hashtag or a person and you want to save that search there’s a option to save but not just that it also integrates with the your whole twitter account so now on your desktop browser you’ll see that saved search.
- For those of you like me who most of their DMs or just public replies can’t fit into the 140 letter limit well this twitter app like most paid apps only till now has twitlonger API meaning if it’s too ling it asks you if you want to use twitlonger which makes my life easier.
- One really cool feature i haven’t seen on any other twitter app let alone a free one in the “…” tab aka the “more” tab go to “My Profile” and scroll down to “Services” press it and you’ll see a dropdown click any of those links and it will show you some cool stats about your account you never knew.
- One last feature again in “My Profile” press “Retweets” and there you can check “My Tweets, Retweeted” which is nice to see.
- Update: this is the newest and coolest trick I’ve yet on the app it’s the ability to retweet reply etc… without opening the tweet which is a pain and the way to do that is by pressing and sliding your finger over the tweet you want to reply retweet quote etc… and that’s it so simple and so useful.
So I rate this app 4* due to the fact that when you refresh it doesn’t tell you (only when your viewing accounts and settings) if you did have any updates but other than that love the app and recommend it to you all especially since it’s “free”.
Hope this post helped you and stay up to date daily on your iDevice news here @ iYoshiblog
