Apple warned today that it may deny service to Jailbroken devices, because it is a violation of the end user license agreement.

Razorianfly.com jokingly reported today that Apple may “brick” user devices. This is simply not the case. Apple is asking for a battle and a huge backlash from the growing (exponentially) jailbreak community. It also cannot shut the phone part of the device down because ATT would be forced to get involved and it would damage the customer relationship. Does this statement even say that the Apple specific iPhone services such as FaceTime and MobileMe may be shut down?

Starting “late next week” if you are the “proud” owner of an iPhone 4 you can login to Apple.com and select a FREE CASE for your iPhone 4. This may or may not include Apple’s own Bumpers, Steve stated that they could not produce enough of them to cover the demand.

Other interesting news provided at today’s event included the announcement of the date that the white version will finally become available: July 31. Overall, Steve defended the iPhone 4, stating that less than one percent of iPhone 4 purchasers have called Apple Care to complain and that the overall antenna design is superior to the previous iPhone models. He then declined to describe what a future design may look like. Read more…
