Hey this gonna be a review of a few apps in one since there are three apps you can use to stream to the web straight from your iPhone.

I’ll start from the one i think is most useful and has the best quality:

qik live which has the best audio and video quality it includes a live interactive chat and you can share (not stream) and announce your video on facebook twitter and youtube.

Ustream broadcaster is also great it has all the features qik has and it also has the ability to make a poll for you viewers to interact with problem is the quality is not as good.

Knocking live video this one is more for personal use because the user making the video needs to make a account like in the other two but whats special about this one is that the viewer also needs an account and needs to be in the app to be invited or to watch and also there’s no audio.

Summary: All three are free qik is probably best because of the quality even though the poll feature is really cool I would go with quality over polls for me knocking live video is not what I’d be using to stream live.

This is a post that i think is very useful for anyone who wants to start programing for the iPhone iPod touch and even the iPad.

First step: is simple you’ll have to get the iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) to get that.

You’ll need a mac it’s free from developer.apple.com/iphone all you have to do is make a free account. (you can develop apps for iPhone on a pc using Dragon Fire SDK but that uses c++ and this post is about learning Obj C)

Next: look through all the tutorials listed here some might interest you more than others depending on your level in programming first i recommend you go to iTunes U there you have a list of a few colleges that have classes on Obj C the best one i found was from Stanford College which is named: iPhone Application Development,

There are loads of universities teaching iPhone App Development if you search in iTunes store “iPhone App” you’ll get a bunch, Harvard has a class that involves Obj C called Computer Science 50 (aka cs50) which can also be found in the iTunes store,

There are alot of Youtube tutorial also I’ve seen some nice ones by simplesdk, I recommend using these only if your not looking to learn Obj C, or only for a certain use, or if you have a good programming background.

Note: Also the reason i recommend using the iTunes U classes are because there done by Apple Co. so they show you all the things you’ll need to know for the SDK itself which is very important.

Hey wazup so im sure you all either already have the beta or have seen reviews i might put up links to get the beta when i find good ones til then your stuck lol if you have a link for the beta post it as a comment .
now to break up what it has and what it doesnt and about the jailbreak for it.
so what it has is probably the best multitasking out there a new social type of gaming app very cool looks like they added theming ability dont know if you can use custom themes but still cool and a folders app which helps keep your springboard neat. (btw all these are available to jailbreakers on cydia now lol =D)
for the developers they added alot more integration abilities for all the multitasking again those are only for iPT 3g and iPhone 3gs (i will talk about if its worth to upgrade soon)
what it doesnt have is flash more battery life (meaning less since the multitasking will kill it but besides that its amazing and about the flash thing adobe confirmed it will hurt there income this year that the iPhone and iPad and iPT all wont have the flash capability causing web developers to use less flash.
now to the upgrading you iPhone or iPod now DONT wait till the summer when apple puts out there new hardware from what rumors are saying its worth the wait supposed to have a front camera for chat and confirmed that there is code for videochat so wait if your gonna wanna upgrade.
about the JAILBREAK for now as confirmed by musclenerd there is none but the exploit has been found there having trouble patching the kernel the video on youtube is fake there is a jailbreak for the iPad but wont be released till the iPad 3g is released so wait for that.

This is for all you people who upgraded to 3.1.3 and don’t want to go through the whole jailbreak process (just btw if you guys want a tutorial for that plz request) or for people who don’t want to jailbreak

a lot of people tell me the only reason they jailbreak is to get the new song before they go to a store (cause they dont have a credit card of course) or to download youtube videos so this is for you people that would jailbreak for the same reason

there are a few really good programs that give the ability to download movies including youtube videos(all formats but only ability to watch .mp4 & .mov) download files (.zip .rar .txt .doc etc… oh and can unzip zip files) and image downloading. here some app names “donwload manager lite” “power downloader” “video downloader iwoopie lite” there more but couldnt think of any more.

BTW if you want a tutorial on any of these just request and hope this helped you and thanks for the support.
